AnonyMas is the largest Carnival Band (costumed troupe) in Leeds with 15 years carnival experience and still growing. Run by sisters c-founder Lorina Gumbs, sister Fenella and Cherise Hill, and inspired by their travels to carnival in Trinidad & Tobago, AnonyMas is widely recognised as re-inventing the approach to Caribbean carnival costume participation in the North.
An inclusive, diverse brand, AnonyMas embraces masqueraders (i.e. participants) and artists from all backgrounds, encouraging a feel-good family unit.
The siblings are trained in art, design and project management and with Lorina leading on design and Fenella on choreography and fitness sessions, AnonyMas take pride in both the artistry and performance of Carnival.
AnonyMas performers in eye popping feathered and embellished costumes bring high energy excitement to fashion shows, corporate meet and greet and launch events, film shoots, and outdoor spectacles.
Considered one’s to watch wherever they perform, AnonyMas won Leeds West Indian Carnival’s Best Troupe title in 2016 and have been consistent winners of the Biggest Troupe title since 2013.
