Miriam Wilkes is a freelance qualified events and arts project manager, based in Leeds who has worked on some of the North’s biggest events.
Miriam has over 10 years experience working with clients and organisations to deliver a range of events and projects from small community based events, launches and arts workshops to stage productions and huge outdoor festivals including Leeds West Indian Carnival (LWIC).
A great organiser and problem solver with a calm, creative, detail oriented approach Miriam thrives on work that involves people from all walks of life – live audiences, artists, contractors and suppliers, venues, stakeholders and VIP’s alike.
As Assistant Producer for the Leeds Carnival 50 anniversary programme, Miriam worked with LWIC, complex multi-agency, community and national participants network to deliver a range of workshops, stage productions, a media launch, Pop Up appearances and the annual parade which attracted a record breaking 250,000.
For rising Leeds musicians, Caution Collective, Miriam has managed the logistics and delivery of their popular showcase performances and projects.
